Choosing the design that is best for you is one of the most critical parts of the process. A custom design swimming pool and spa can take on just about any form. There are some categories and terminology that should help you along the way.

Lap Pool is the term used to a swimming pool that is used for exercise, swimming laps or training. Geometric is a pool
with straight lines like a rectangle and or more geometric curves like a Grecian. Freeform pools is the style more used when designing a natural looking pool using soft curves for the shape. Vanishing Edge or negative Edge pool is when a portion of the pool is left just slightly below the water level allowing water to flow over that area into a catch basin-creating the illusion that the water is flowing into whatever the backdrop view consist of. Spas while mostly built as part of the inground swimming pool and sharing the pool equipment may also be built as a free standing project. Spool is a fairly new term that describes an oversized spa or small pool that people may choose to accommodate a smaller space.

There are many other design considerations that can arise based on the terrain, your desire for water movement/water features, etc. A platinum designer will assist you through this process while insuring that what is conceived is buildable.
