This summer, why not enjoy some pool toys you and your kids made yourself? Try some of these easy and completely homemade toys for hours of pool time fun!
- Sail Boats – Try placing a few pebbles in an empty soda bottle and close the lid tightly. This will prevent the bottles from rolling away, but careful not to put so many in that they sink! With a little imagination and different size bottles, you’ll have a fleet of ships in no time! Take some extra time to paint them or add fancy things like sails! Try tying a string to the top and racing them around the pool. Set up and obstacle course using hula-hoops.
- Squirt Bottles – Wash out and clean empty ketchup and mustard bottles and replace the original caps. Your toddler and young child will love squirting water all day long.
- “Surfboards” – Find some plastic box tops and try standing on top of them. Just like surfing, your underwater surfboard is a fun challenge.
