Our Platinum team wishes you & your family a happy Valentines day.
This Valentines let's treat your swimming pool with tender loving care. Let's inspect, prepare and plan for spring. Inspect your swimming pool. Do you see any stains? If you do, we will help you figure out the type of stains you may have and we will discuss how to remove them. Now, prepare your pool for warmer weather by helping prevent algae growth. And finally, its time to plan for the safety of your family and friends. Is your CPR certificate up to date? If you need to renew your CPR certificate our 2012 CPR calendar has been posted. Let's get started.

| Pool Stains |
As with anything else, the best way to avoid a problem is to prevent it. Using proper pool maintenance is the best way to ensure that your pool stays clean and stain-free. If a survey of your pool's plaster does reveal stains, you can remove those stains by using products like Jack's Magic. Take a quart of your pool's water to your local pool supply store and tell your pool professional the color of your stain.
Then have them test your pool water to ensure proper water balance and prevent future problems. Purchase Jack's Magic Stain ID Kit will identify what best removes a stain as there are different types of products needed to clean various stains in your pool. The product amount provided in the kit should be sufficient for small stains, but you can test the products in the kit for larger stains and find the exact type needed to clear up the problem areas on your plaster. Remember to maintain your pool regularly to help prevent stains from appearing.

| Sodium Tetraborates |
Put money back into your pocket by using sodium tetraborates. You can save up to $22 per month by using Sodium Tetraborates and avoid the cost of purchasing any algaecides.
Sodium tetraborate is the technical name for an algaecide. It removes carbon dioxide, a food source for algae. Algaecide will prevent algae from growing while creating crystal clear water that is soft and gentle to your hair and eyes. You won't have dry skin or brittle hair after swimming. When you get out of your pool, the water will actually sheen off of your body! Apart from making your skin feel soft, sodium tetraborate helps prevent calcium and scale buildup while assisting in balancing your PH and alkalinity.
